Aerospace » Program Execution Philosophy

TATA Advanced Systems ("TASL") has created a robust Program Management Structure comprising of technical and managerial leadership to manage and deliver programs. The Program Management Office ("PMO") of TASL is a cross-functional, cross-program body led by the Head Aero-Structures and Head Technical Services Group. The main objective of the PMO is to enable a smooth transition of any program from the customer to TASL's operating structure keeping Customer's Expectations at the centre of this approach.
The PMO office has put forth a structured process for the lifecycle of any business opportunity. The process starts with any business opportunity at an RFI stage in the hands of the Business Development function and its matures through the toll gate methodology approach first within the business development function and then all successful bids are handed over to the New Programs Management Function for Execution. The closed loop approach has helped ensure that any awarded program is managed well during its lifecycle and learnings are used from other opportunities.
