TASL delivers the first batch of Tactical Access Switch (TAS) System to Indian Army on time as per the contract awarded by Army for 100 Nos in July 2023 under Buy (India) category.

Introduction of TAS shall enhance Indian Army’s capability to transfer high speed Voice/Video/Data and thereby facilitate modernization of Army’s Communication network.

Tactical Access Switch (TAS) is a state-of-the-art switch/edge router supporting Voice, Video and Data for use in a Tactical Communication System, enabling bidirectional communication from Infantry level to Command/Army HQ level. It has the capability of interfacing disparate communication systems supporting seamless integrating modern and legacy communication equipment. This can be exploited in static, vehicular configuration and going to be a main stay switch deployed at brigade/command level for communication with their head-quarters. TAS is compact, modular & ruggedized networking system to provide faster switching capability thereby strengthening the tactical communication capability of Indian Army.

TASL had realized this system with inhouse System Design and Engineering by using the state-of-the-art COTS routing and VOIP systems. It has undergone the rigorous user evaluation trials successfully which was spread over more than 5 Years. Post award of contract it has passed elaborate FoPM evaluation by Army.
