Tata Advanced Systems was awarded a Buy & Make (India) contract in 2017 by the Indian MoD for Supply of 31 Surface Surveillance Radars (SSR) for the Indian Navy. Another prestigious contract awarded by the MoD to Tata Advanced Systems in March 2019 was the order for 23 ship borne 3D C/D Air Surveillance Radars (ASR) and related spares under the Buy & Make (India) Category for the Indian Navy. Tata Advanced Systems is activity working towards the goal of complete self-reliance and indigenisation in the field of Thermal Imagers and Night Vision Devices and has all the necessary infrastructure to manufacture Night Vision Devices, Uncooled & Cooled Thermal Imaging Systems, 3rd Generation Image Intensifier Tubes of FoM ≥ 1800+ and complex Electro-Optic (EO) payloads.
